At Fat Spoon, sisters Michelle and Melissa have created an oasis of nostalgia, recalling the days of grandma’s home cooked food and the warmth of forgotten everyday treasures. Fat Spoon’s food and decor successfully evokes a sense of the familiar, bringing patrons back to simpler and happier days.
The menu features a reimagination of their grandmother’s own recipes, which is mostly comprised of nyonya cuisine. Backed by shared memories, the sisters experiment together to put a fresh twist on traditional formulas on an old-meets-new culinary adventure. Some favourites include ulam fried rice with chicken curry, sago pudding with salted gula melaka ice cream and spicy beef macaroni soup.
