When we mention Korean food, one of the first things that come into mind is definitely Korean barbecue. With indoor and outdoor seating available, you will be attracted by the black and white rustic interior once you step into Gangnam Oppa BBQ. Different barbecue sets are available for sharing and generally the sets come with generous portions of meat, stew, steamed egg and banchan (Korean side dishes). A wide variety of barbecue meats are offered in the menu as well for ala carte order.
The meats are grilled over charcoal fire; imparting the meats with a lovely smokiness. The meat here is juicy and tender; and the Kimchi Stew Ramen is flavourful and rich.
End your meal with a bowl of Mul-naengmyun (cold noodle soup) – buckwheat noodles stacked with sliced cucumbers, hard-boiled egg served in a cold broth with shredded ice. Add a dash of vinegar and mustard to give the soup an extra kick. This refreshing dish is the perfect way to cool down from the heat of the barbecue and it is a must-have dish in Korea during summer. Give this a try the next time you have Korean barbecue!
