As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability, the Starling mall partnered with WWF-Malaysia and MBPJ to organise the Earth Hour Night Walk 2017 for Petaling Jaya. Around 2,500 people gathered at the Starling on Saturday, 25th March 2017 to walk a 3km route around the Uptown square in support of this event.
Earth Hour is a yearly global environmental initiative led by WWF where individuals, businesses, governments and communities are invited to turn off their lights for one hour to show their support for environmentally sustainable action and participate on Earth Hour Night Walks. All funds raised were channelled to WWF-Malaysia’s conservation efforts.
