Damansara Uptown is the Gold Winner of EdgeProp-ILAM Malaysia’s Sustainable Landscape Award at EdgeProp Malaysia’s Best Managed Property Awards 2018.

This streetscape beautification initiative was spearheaded by See Hoy Chan Sdn. Berhad, together with landscape architectural firm, Praxis Design Sdn. Bhd., to elevate the Uptown experience. The project, costing approximately RM12 million, entailed a series of upgrading works to enhance the square.

The landscape around Uptown has been beautified with interwoven swathes of greenery, making strolling around cooler and more relaxing. Besides the lush landscaping, existing kerbs and walkways along the road were also beautified and widened. Now, visitors, residents and workers in Uptown can enjoy more pedestrian and bicycle friendly paths along its inner ring. Additionally, there are specially designated pedestrian crossings with traffic lights and disability friendly access along the shops. Canopies have also been erected over 5 strategically chosen side lanes from the inner ring to the outer ring to make walking around Uptown more convenient and comfortable.

To further complement the streetscape upgrading, a series of street art installations have been installed around the square. These installations have become new landmarks in Uptown and are a reflection of Uptown’s character – vibrant, fun, creative and stylish.
