The Starling Fabric Bank is located at the Starling, Level B1 (in front of Caring Pharmacy). Join the Starling in their efforts to keep fabric out of landfills by decluttering and recycling your unwanted fabric items.
What can you donate?
Regardless wearable or not, both new and used items are accepted.
- Garments (men’s, women’s and children’s including underwear)
- Clothing accessories (Scarf, socks, gloves, cap)
- Bags (Purse, backpack, handbag)
- Household textiles (Towel, bedsheet, tablecloth, curtain)
- Footwear
- Plush toys
Just follow these 3 simple steps :
Step 1 : Pack your unwanted fabric items (either loose items or packed together in a bag) Step 2 : Swing by the Starling, Level B1 (in front of Caring Pharmacy) Step 3 : Drop them into the Starling Fabric Bank
Where will these donated fabric items go?
- Wearable condition will be distributed to vulnerable communities
- Upcycled into other wearable items
- Repurposed into industrial cleaning cloths
- Fibre reclamation to produce blankets, rugs, & more
- Exported to developing countries through global textiles and clothing recycling market, and are sold or distributed locally
- Fuel to energy conversion or processed engineered fuel (PEF)
